Your family is worth the work!
1 Principle
Every great organization has a grand vision.
This long-term picture gives right-now direction for what they’re working on, talking about, striving toward in the future.
This big, inspiring vision illuminates a clear path to the desired outcome of success.
Your family is an organization. Do you have a vision?
I believe this looks like praying and dreaming 30+ years into the future about:
what you want your family to be marked by
what you want life to feel like decades from now
what you want to be true about your marriage and family
what you want your kids to remember
what you want them to model
what you don’t want them multiply
Do you know where you want to go?
If so, have you written it down and shared it out loud?
If not, do you think a family vision important? What’s holding you back from crafting it?
Proverbs 29:18 says that “Where there is no vision, the people perish.”
Without clear sight and direction, corrosion and chaos can ensue.
Your family needs the sight and direction that only God can give you and only you can give to them.
1 Practice
Make space this week to consider what I call “30-10-3-1” Vision Planning.
What do you want your family life to feel like in 30 years?
What do you want to be true about your family life in 10 years?
What major growth or lifestyle changes need to be accomplished in our family in 3 years?
What will we pursue and do as a family this year that aligns with the timeline above?

What is one specific generational habit or "corrosion" from your own past that you are intentionally deciding will stop with your family leadership?
1 Passage
"And the Lord answered me: ‘Write the vision…make it plain…so he may run who reads it." — Habakkuk 2:2
Pray for your family leadership this week:
Father — give us the spiritual foresight to see our family not just as it is today, but as the legacy You desire it to become decades from now. Quiet the chaos of the present so we may hear Your voice, write Your vision, and lead our children with a clarity that reflects Your eternal Kingdom. Amen.
